Join the Missouri Drumline!

The Missouri Drumline holds auditions each year. The first round of 2012 auditions takes place Saturday, April 28, and the audition process concludes with a full weekend rehearsal camp during the summer months. During the entire week before classwork begins, Marching Mizzou holds its annual band camp, concluding with the Concert on the Quad.

Incoming and current Mizzou students are invited to audition. Veteran members must re-audition for placement every year.

Audition Registration

To register for the 2012 Mizzou Drumline auditions, fill out and submit the registration form. This will both inform the organization of your interest and provide us with a contact email address to which updates and news will be sent.

2012 Audition Schedule

The Mizzou Drumline will be holding all auditions on Saturday, April 28. The audition process will consist of both an individual audition and a full ensemble rehearsal block. It is crucial to attend the whole day in order to show your full abilities.

Stop and start times during the day will vary based on a few factors: number of individual auditions, speed of rehearsal, quickness of load/unload, and, as always, weather. However, beginning and end of the day times are set.

Keep in mind, auditions start the second you enter the building, so please be on time (early is on time and on time is late...)

7:45am - Registration @ Loeb Hall - unload drums from truck

8:00am - Individual auditions begin. (Auditions will be approximately 15-25 minutes long. Times are first come first serve.)
Individual auditions will continue until everyone is auditioned. I may have to take a "second look" at an individual, but that will be communicated accordingly.
Based on individual auditions, you will be placed on an instrument to rehearse on for the duration of the full ensemble rehearsal. During this time, I will be moving people around instruments to find the best fit for the group.

1:30pm - Full ensemble rehearsal begins

3:30pm - Break

6:00pm - End of full ensemble - end of auditions
